Sapna Anand at Indian Art Circle

I see the world with my own lens and paint my own version of it. An abstract expressionist, I paint to communicate my ideas, thoughts and sometimes opinions. I believe Art has a larger role to play and it has the power to induce thinking.

My subject is human interactions within and outside where I explore the infinite emotions and ideas that define us. The shift in the way we communicate inspires me and I paint the possiblities and realities of it. I also explore human interaction with nature where I strongly feel we have left nature to struggle with constant onslaught in the name of progress. My works explore how nature is stunted in the man made world and the fragments of our world are slowly spreading everywhere. Having lived in many different places and travelled extensively, part of my works explore my connect with those places. I express my nostalgia, attached emotions and my impressions through my work.

I have recently taken to digital art and am exploring the infinite possiblities the medium has to offer.

I am self taught but have been fortunate to learn from a few established artists in India and Asia region. I have exhibited my works at national and international forums.
