Maitreyi is a freelance artist who has been painting for more than 25 years. She was born and brought up in Kolkata. She studied BVA from Rabindra Bharati University, Jorasanko. She lives and works in Gurgaon.

Art for her is the manifestation of society’s reality, diversity and culture.

The dexterity and diligence shown by her in the field of art has been praised by numerous established organisations worldwide.

She has participated in prestigious national and international exhibitions and received recognitions, including Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award, Make in India awards, Karma Veer Chakra award (bronze, silver & gold) instituted by international confederation of NGOs and United Nations along with Rex Global Fellowships. Her art contributes to the power to move people profoundly, to empower our society and people's attitude towards social responsibility.

Other than painting and singing, she has dedicated herself to women empowerment through some leading NGOs as a creative partner. She is in a continuous quest to realise her dreams.
