Gallerie Alternatives had its Inaugural Exhibition of 13 Indian artists in Jan 1999. Where it hosted works of art include drawings, Paintings, Graphic Prints and Sculptures of Balbir Singh Katt, Jatin Das, Mahendra Pandya, Prithpal Singh Ladi, P. Khemraj, Anupam Sud, Jagdish Chander, Shobha Broota, Shruti Chandra Gupta, Meena Deora, Kavita Jaiswal & Vijaya Bagai. This was followed by another major shows of 8 Indian artists in Feb/ March 1999 and has shown works of various artists on a regular basis.The Gallery has been planned over an area of 5,500 Sq. ft. allowing ample space for display. In addition to a sculpture court, a separate area has been demarcated for stock.

So as to facilitate the smooth functioning of the gallery, and the exhibition in progress. The gallery plans to develop itself as a multi- arts centre over the years. Workshops in fine arts and theatre were conducted by senior artists for children, in the month of May and June. The gallery intends to promote contemporary Indian art for the serious buyer and connoisseur of art in India and abroad.
