Translucent and colourful artefacts and puppets are made from goatleather by a community of Maharashtrian craftsmen who migrated to Andhra Pradesh. These are hand painted with vegetable pigment. Earlier the basic end product was marketed to the thriving tradition of puppetry, but nowadays, not only have the puppets become more of collectibles, but also the main market has shifted to lampshades and other such artefacts.
IAC presents a handpicked collection of these leather products to chose from.
