Bulbul's Art


Evoking a whole vedic forest in her current shows at Art Today. Bulbul masaics her works with jewel like colours. 'Aranaya' or forest, as this radient collection of works is called meanders & meditates upon the 107 forms of plant life.
Bulbul showing her new feathers, carries her won creative, feminine energies of maternity - from seed to bud & bloom through her painterly geniue in making that over sweeping link between mother & the bounteous mother earth. All life is held between her use of yellow against the blue, sun against sky, or leaf green against the earth reds & browns are reassuring for a planet being laid waste by its inheritors.
In Aditi, the vegetal predominates, fluorescent branches mapping out the sky, owining it with an embrace. In Sandhaya, personified as a flower bedecked belle, a parakeet & fawn bring sky, & land togeather. InSashin, the pollen from the stamens seems to wing out & become a butterfly.
There are creative surprises in Bulbul Sharma's joyous works, as there is hope, aspiration, harmony & a sense of fulfilment that will flood the homes that will hang them.
