Born 6th July 1961 in Shrinagar, Kashmir.

Schooling from Burn Hall School, Srinagar.

B.com.- Islamic Collage of science & Commerce, Srinagar -1983

Diploma in French- Alliance Francais, New Delhi - 1984

Diploma in Fashion Design - N,I.F.T, New Delhi - 1986
 

In 1984 Baba Anand moved from Kashmir to New Delhi yo persue a career as a  fashion designer. After completing his diploma in N.I.F.T, Delhi in 1986, he worked in fashion for eight years successfully. Having a penchant for more, one fine day decided to discover the world of painting. Over the course of following six years he taught himself how to paint experimenting with various techniques & mediums.

The themes & style of his recent work critique decoration, a quality of excess & a real sense of the ridiculous. His richly textured painting on real Bollywood posters are three-dimensional in feel with various elements drawn from his fashion bag round. In seeking to capture the Kitsch sprit, Baba's styles are constantly evolving, with a seductive ability to both attract & reply you at the same time.
